Xin tự giới thiệu, tôi là Phương Thị Thoan, đầu bếp chính tại nhà hàng pizza Hoa Ý, nơi tôi sẽ giới thiệu với các bạn sản phẩm bánh pizza và món mỳ nổi tiếng, một nét văn hoá ẩm thực của nước Ý. Đất nước Việt Nam phát triển và hội nhập, tầng lớp thanh niên có điều kiện tìm hiểu và thích nghi với môi trường sống mới, luôn tự chủ, cầu tiến, tự tin trò chuyện với bạn bè quốc tế.

Well today I read a post at DDTH that someone has their site reach pagerank 3 in 22 days. Its really possible. The tips is to choose the right time to earn backlinks from right sites! ;-)

Quite busy these days.

But I spend some time playing with first-in-Vietnam SEO Contest for Vietnamese webmaster/emarketers/SEOers to compete with other for ranking no.1 in Google.com with the keyword CuocThiSEO.

The time is going up. And the game will be over next 36 hours. Right now we can see the top 3 candidates.

CuocThiSEO dot com, the winner of February - hmm, this emarketer (I guess) is too clever to grab this domain when the rules are not strict.

CuocThiSEO dot Hostindexvn dot com - this guy (a truly SEOer I beg) has some other good sites to support. This site is linked from CuocThiSEO dot com however. If everything goes on like what I guess, this site will come first! He just changed his site to wordpress within 1 week.

CuocThiSEO hyphen SEO dot CO dot CC, the first month winner - this guy endlessly earns links from social networking sites. He’s wise enough to choose dofollow sites. This Joomla-based site, just like the candidates above, provides good tips a/b SEO (though by just rewriting or modifying some words for better keyword density and cheating Google).

Sphereteam’s Ced and his French SEO mate have their sites on top 15 too. Ced is better with top 10.

Besides, I realize other truly Vietnamese SEO guys such as the owner of Winnerofcuocthiseo dot Blogspot dot com, who possessing other good sites like Vinabet or Vn-SEO (just my guest) and the guy of CuocThiSEO dot US dot TC. These 2 guys specially like web directories.

Well, so what I LEARN from this SEO Contest?

First, Google updates their algorithms all the time.

Second, Sandbox still works and if you don’t have more control on the web server then your site goes lost somewhere elst. Thats the case of the leading site in January hosted by Dreamhosters.

Third, we can cheat Google in a certain period of time, with spamming, copyscaping but in long term, your sites will drop down in Google SERPs.

Next, the key to win any SEO Contest is…patience and cleverness!

Last, SEO Contests like this are in Google consideration (I guess) and the giant would have some policies or penalties later. Simply sites targeting the nonsense keywords bring less value to users.

And huh, what I EARN from this SEO Contest?

Well, to be honest, besides the 5 lessions above, I really earn more than 2.52 US dollars from Adsense (up to now, this may increase next days) with 10 clicks and 1416 impressions.

Actually there’re some other interesting things a/b this SEO Contest. But I like to keep it secret now…

Understand the Rules
Don’t dive into the water without first knowing how shallow the pond is. It’s easy to get caught up in the lucrative prize offerings promis by CuocThiSEO SEO Contest sponsors. Carefully examine the rules as publicly stat by the contest sponsor. Are the rules fair? Do they give advantages to experienc competitors who control lots of links or does the average Joe webmaster have a reasonable chance? Also ask if the contest rules have safeguards against cheating, spamming and unethical practices.

Know Yourself
Perhaps the next most important questions to ask is can I win the contest?

Realistically assess your SEO talents and capabilities against the rules of the contest.

A good statement that should resonate for any potential contestants: “A man’s gotta know his limitations.” If you are an aspiring SEO or SEO newbie who will be competing against hundrs of professional SEO’s for tens of thousands of dollars in prize money, you may wish to make your debut in a smaller stakes contest. The risk of wasting valuable time may be far greater than the chances of reaping the reward. After all, you may be better off working on your own web site’s long term growth.

Have a Strategy
If you’re convinced that you have a reasonable chance to win an SEO Contest, formulate an initial strategy bas on what you know works and especially what has work for you in the past. Of course, you can and should adapt your strategy. As the contest progresses, you will want peak in on your competitors and see what’s working for them. Even if you don’t win, you will probably learn a few new tricks.

Well, I'm in top 10 with the keyword cuocthiseo now. And its really hard to beat those guys at the top3. I check backlinks and see that they (but the cuocthiseo dot com) earn thousands of good links. Me hundreds.
Actually On-page SEO is quite simple and easy, esp if you have a WP based site because the service does it well for you. The key is to find good and relevant pages with good PR and dofollow tag...
Guys in top 3 do this technique very well. I admire their SEO skills. Really. :-)

Its not too late for any SEO proz to gain high rankings in Google. So I'd like to share this news.
